Join the Briargate, Perrenoud, Uptown 21, Emerson HOA, and Swallow Hill Homeowners Associations for a community meeting with Councilwoman Carla Madison, Denver Police Commander Deborah Dilley, Michael Henry (co-chair of CHUNs Zoning Committee) for a Community Meeting July 7th at 7pm at the Perrenoud. We are concerned about the increase in violence in the neighborhood and specifically at 1746 Emerson. Learn more about the community concern here.

| Guest WiFi is now available. Any one computer is limited to 2 hours at a time. Guests need to know the WEP key to connect to "briargate" and then instead of logging in with your unit number, just choose the guest link at the bottom of the login page. If you have a guest that is often here and need a separate login for them let us know! |

| On February 19th, contractors that were soldering leaking water pipes in the ceiling of the boiler room accidentally set off a fire sprinkler head. The flowing sprinkler head triggered the fire alarm and an early morning evacuation. Denver Fire crews were on scene in less than 4 minutes. The water damaged several controls in the boiler room, a pump and a motor; damaged drywall and insulation; expelled costly antifreeze from the sprinker system; and rust stained the courtyard traffic coat. The total damages $34,878.62!

The association installed a new backup heat pump last week for a cost of approximately $3,500. The heat pump circulates heat and hot water to the building. If the primary pump failed (which runs 24 hours a day) and the backup pump would not start the building would be without heat and hot water. The board felt it was essential to have a good working backup.

The Briargate Homeowners Association Board generally meets the second Monday of the month at 6:00p in the lobby. The 2009 meetings will be held January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October and November 9. From time to time, the date or time of a meeting may change. Be sure the check the website for any changes.
